Convenience Fees

There are various options for charging convenience fees in RTO Pro for credit card payments and/or autopay payments. The credit card regulations and state laws pertaining to convenience fees are complex and always changing, you should consult with an attorney before charging convenience fees.

At the time of this writing in RTO Pro it is not possible to charge a convenience fee for autopay or webpay for credit card transactions only. If you enable the fee it is charged for ACH also. This is due to regulations at this time that prevent you from charging a convenience fee for a service unless you charge the same fee for all payment types for that service.

Below is a guide to convenience fees found by doing a web search, it has good info about credit card regulations and laws pertaining to convenience fees, it may not be up to date.
