AutoPager

The AutoPager is designed to automatically page your customers who have pager airtime accounts with you when they are overdue.

To begin using the AutoPager the first thing you need to do is go into #Setup. (See "# Setup") Then you will need to make an AutoPager file. (See "Make a new file")

To begin paging click on the begin paging button. The airtime accounts tthat were collected in the report will start being paged. During this process you can click on the minimize button ( the _ button in the top right corner of the screen), this will allow you to go on with other activities in the computer while the AutoPager is working. You can use RTO Pro to take payments or whatever else you wish while the AutoPager is running.

To begin at the beginning of the list after the entire list has been paged or at any time you wish, click on the Start From Beginning Button. Note that if you entered commitments after the report file was made these commitments will not be recognized until a new report file is made.

Make a new file

To create a file of customers to page enter a date. Any airtime account which is due before this date will be paged, unless they have a commitment date entered in RTO Pro which is on or after today's date. After entering a date push the begin report button. The report will run and you will be returned to the main screen.

Be sure and enter commitments in the commitment box's in RTO Pro otherwise beeper customers who have already called and given you a commitment will be paged.

Note that if you enter commitments after a report file is made these commitments will not be recognized until a new report file is made.

# Setup

Here you will need to enter the time to pause after dialing a regular pager # and the number to page the beepers with. For the number to page the beepers with you could use your store phone number or a number which you could have setup with a reminder recording.

The section that is below the title that says "Below is for pagers with ext. numbers or numbers you don't want to page" is for 800# pagers with an extension number or for airtime accounts which you don't want to page, for instance a cell phone number.

In the above sample picture of a # setup below is a description of how it would work.

You have customers with a 800# of 800-533-2112, they have 4 digit ext. numbers like 3030. To use Pager Tester for these #'s do the following.

When you receive the airtime phone # that use the 800-533-2112# make the serial number ???-3030 (The ??? can be any #'s you wish we use 100-3030).

You have customers with a 800# of 800-533-2222, they have 4 digit ext. numbers like 1111. To use Pager Tester for these #'s do the following.

When you receive the airtime phone # that use the 800-533-2222# make the serial number ???-1111 (The ??? can be any #'s you wish we use 200-1111).

The "Skip 1st ? in Serial Number" section in the above diagram tells the Pager Tester to skip the first 3 characters in the serial # (The 100 and the 200) and to just dial the remaining numbers for an extension. For pager #'s with an extension there are 2 pauses the first is the pause after dialing the main number and the 2nd is the pause after dialing the extension.

In the above # Setup number that started with a 991 or 973 would not be paged. (like 991-3455)

Note: To get the pauses right you will have to enter a time and test it and adjust it as needed until it works.
